Do you want to play a vital role in keeping our transport operation running smoothley by moving trailers around the yard and ensuring efficient loading and unloading?Here at GXO we are looking for a Shunter to join us at our site in Northampton - Wickes.You will be part of a team that works closely together to keep operations on track and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week. Your working days will be Monday to Friday, covering the hours 21:00 - 05:00. Pay, benefits and more:An annual salary of £42,525.22Monthly paidHoliday entitlementWorkplace pensionAccess to our Hapi App platform, offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!Opportunities for career development and progression, as well as training enrichment and multiskilling, in a dynamic working environmentWhat youll do on a typical day:Safely maneuver trailers around the yards, using a Tug shunter vehicle, ensuring smooth and efficient site operationsSafely move rigid vehicles and wag and drag with demount boxes, around the sitePosition trailers and vehicles ready for loading and unloading, always maintaining yard organisationCarry out daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects, damage, or wear and tear promptlyCarry out daily yard checks, recording locations and number of trailers and demount boxes available for use, and any VORsWork closely with warehouse, transport, and site teams to ensure health & safety procedures and operational requirements are consistently metWhat you need to succeed at GXOA full UK driving licence with category class 1 entitlementA valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph CardNo more than 6 current penalty pointsFlexible and proactive approachNo DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 yearsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.TPBN1_UKTJ
