We are currently recruiting for compassionate and reliable Residential Support Workers to join a therapeutic childrens home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children within a safe, nurturing, and family-style environment.About the Home Therapeutic EBD serviceCurrently supporting 3 young people aged 7, 7 and 10All children attend schoolThe home promotes a warm, homely atmosphere where young people feel safe and supportedStaff encourage and maintain positive family relationships where appropriateShift Patterns Flexible mixed shifts availableMainly long days and waking nights at weekends: 8am 8pm8pm 8amAdditional support required before and after school for a couple of hours during weekdaysWhat Youll Be Doing Supporting young people with daily routines and activitiesTaking part in fun and engaging weekend activitiesBuilding positive, therapeutic relationships with childrenUsing de-escalation techniques to support behaviours in a calm and compassionate wayMaintaining a safe and structured environment at all timesReading and understanding care plans, including awareness of individual triggers and support strategiesUsing non-judgemental and therapeutic communication approachesImportant Information Staffing ratio is always 2:1 no lone workingStaff must remain vigilant at all times: Keys must be kept secureDoors must remain locked appropriatelyNo unsafe items should be left accessibleIdeal Candidate We are looking for individuals who:Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within residential care or EBD settingsUnderstand therapeutic approaches and behaviour support strategiesAre calm, patient and resilientCan build trust and positive relationships with young peopleAre proactive and safety-consciousIf you are passionate about supporting young people and want to be part of a caring and therapeutic team, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
