Job Description

We are currently looking for a Credit Controller who is enthusiastic and motivated, to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Assistant you will be expected to work on your own initiative and have an excellent understanding / experience of varied collection techniques.Location: North Business Park, Drumhead Road, Chorley, PR6 7DEHours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm (37.5 hours)Salary: £27,000.00Offer is subject to a satisfactory drugs and alcohol testMain ResponsibilitiesProactively chase outstanding payment ensuring monies are paid within the payment termsMake pre-emptive calls to ensure monies due are paid on timeWorking alongside our Depots where overdue balances/queries are causing issuesReconciling accountsSetting up new customers on the systemAd hoc duties such as; finance and general office adminAnswer incoming telephone calls and process and manage cash paymentsBuild client relationshipsResolve any account or invoice querySkills and ExperiencePrevious credit control experienceStrong communication/verbal skills both written and verbalStrong numerical and analytical skillsMethodical and organised, with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlinesSelf-motivated and able to use initiativeFlexible attitude and the ability to work successfully in a close team environmentDemonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detailGood IT and excel skillsBenefits Pension Auto enrolmentOn-site parkingEmployee assistance programmeAbout us The Dalziel group serves the meat processing and retail butchery industry from strategically located distribution sites throughout the United Kingdom.
