About the Role\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Accountant to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Manchester.
\nThis role is ideal for someone with experience managing a portfolio of clients who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and expanding firm. You'll work closely with a broad range of SMEs, providing high-quality accounting and tax services while becoming a trusted advisor to your clients.
\nYou'll be given responsibility from day one, genuine opportunities for progression, and the chance to play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities\nAs an Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing your own portfolio of clients. \n
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts. \n
- Preparing Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns. \n
- Producing VAT returns and assisting with PAYE and payroll. \n
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries via phone and email. \n
- Building strong, long-term client relationships. \n
- Ensuring client records remain accurate and up to date. \n
- Keeping abreast of changes to tax legislation and accounting standards. \n
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the practice. \n
To be considered, you should have:

- Around 1-3 years' experience in an accountancy practice or similar client-facing accounting role. \n
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and tax returns. \n
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA. \n
- Experience using bookkeeping and cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage. \n
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. \n
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage your own workload. \n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationships. \n

- Salary of £29,000 - £35,000, depending on experience. \n
