The Production Operative role is an opportunity for individuals with drive and a good level of communication to work within a small, dedicated team in a long-standing, well-established business.

\n

The job will encompass working within a production and storage facility, where you will be dealing with both raw materials (goods in) and finished products (goods out). At its most basic, there will be manual labour involved to keep the storage and production areas clean and tidy (sweeping, scraping and shovelling). You will be fully trained to use the CB FLT & modern bucket loaders, as well as how to control the loading and unloading of lorries safely. Once you are fully competent, and have been integrated into the shift system, a weekly bonus will be paid.

When you are fully conversant with the Production Operative responsibilities, the company will endeavour to develop your knowledge in our production process, quality control checks, Quality and Health & Safety systems, as well as several other skills, such as using and understanding the company's production computer system, maintenance and cleaning of the production plant and, operation of the company’s weighbridge.

\n

About you:

\n

The right applicant needs to have basic computer literacy. A Counterbalance FLT / loading shovel licence is also required, although training can be given.

Working hours:

\n

Normal production shifts are:

\n

7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am or, when required, three 12-hour shifts followed by one 8-hour shift.

Salary:

  • £14.76 per hour normal day shift
  • \n
  • £18.45 per hour weekday overtime
  • \n
\n

The basic salary for this role is £30,700 per annum (before allowances, bonuses, and overtime). Expected earnings are £37,000 with a bonus + overtime.
