Job Description
Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Wellingborough? You will have experience of working within a FMCG environment and play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of up to c£47,000 working Monday - Friday - no nights & no weekends.

(Week 2) 2pm - 10pm

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:
\n- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules \n
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on manufacturing and packaging equipment \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance \n
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions \n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's CMMS system \n
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery \n
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and engineering standards \n
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to achieve business objectives \n
Suitable Candidate:
\n- \n
- Apprentice trained (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent) \n
- Experienced within manufacturing environments \n
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills \n
- Experience with motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors, pneumatics \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics \n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Previous experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or process manufacturing \n
- PLC fault-finding experience \n
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies \n
- 18th Edition qualification \n
- Experience using CMMS software \n
