North Yorkshire | 4 days per week | Immediate start

We're working with a unique guest-facing estate and hospitality environment in North Yorkshire that's looking for a practical, reliable, and solutions-focused Weekend Maintenance Operative.

\n

This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day maintenance across a varied site, helping ensure guest areas and operational spaces remain safe, functional, and well presented.

The role\n

Working Friday to Monday, you'll handle a mix of reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and general repairs across the estate. You'll also support guests and on-site teams with practical issues, escalate specialist faults where needed, and help keep everything running smoothly.

Key responsibilities\n

  • \n

    Respond promptly to maintenance issues across guest-facing and operational areas.

  • \n
  • \n

    Carry out minor repairs including plumbing, heating, basic electrical faults, fixtures, fittings, and general upkeep.

  • \n
  • \n

    Support guest access and help resolve issues with lighting, Wi-Fi, TVs, heating controls, and room functionality.

  • \n
  • \n

    Complete planned maintenance tasks and update records using a maintenance log system.

  • \n
  • \n

    Carry out minor decorating, adjustments, and general site presentation tasks.

  • \n
  • \n

    Identify hazards and escalate specialist issues appropriately.

  • \n
  • \n

    Liaise with contractors and provide clear handovers where required.

  • \n
  • \n

    Work independently across multiple areas, using a vehicle during shifts

About you\n
    \n
  • \n

    Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyman, or similar trade role.

  • \n
  • \n

    Practical knowledge of general repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.

  • \n
  • \n

    Confident working alone with minimal supervision.

  • \n
  • \n

    Good at prioritising tasks and staying calm under pressure.

  • \n
  • \n

    Full UK driving licence required.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong communication skills and a proactive, helpful attitude.

  • \n
  • \n

    Hospitality or guest-facing experience would be an advantage.

  • \n
  • \n

    Basic pool plant knowledge is desirable.
