Special Education Teacher | Chester, Virginia

Located near Chester, VA, this opportunity involves working full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:45am to 4:15pm, for a total of 37.5 hours each week. You'll be instrumental in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals while being part of a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload and provide case management for up to 14 students
• Develop, write, and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct ongoing progress monitoring to ensure students meet their goals
• Attend and actively participate in meetings with colleagues, parents, and related service providers
• Foster an inclusive learning environment tailored to students’ diverse needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification in Special Education required
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
