Exciting OB/GYN Position - Waterbury, Connecticut

Our organization is looking for a board-eligible or board-certified OB/GYN physician to become a part of our dynamic practice in Waterbury, CT. The team consists of four physicians and one midwife, with weekend coverage managed by other local providers. This practice is quite busy, allowing a new OB/GYN to begin with a full patient roster, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both obstetrics and gynecology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver medical services related to pregnancy and women's reproductive health.

  • Conduct patient examinations and gather medical histories.

  • Perform screenings for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers.

  • Assist in the delivery of babies, whether vaginally or through cesarean section.

  • Address urinary tract issues, pelvic disorders, hormonal imbalances, and sexually transmitted infections.

  • Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests.

  • Develop treatment plans and refer patients to specialists and hospital programs as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

  • Work with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding standards.

  • Encourage wellness and health education among patients.

  • Robotic surgery training is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Participate in on-call duties alongside other OB/GYN professionals.

  • Oversee the quality of care provided by Medical Assistants (MAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other clinical staff.
