Training Facilitator

About the Role
We're seeking a Training & Development Specialist to support an organization's staff training and development function. This position plays a key role in ensuring training programs align with established policies and standards. You'll partner closely with internal personnel and stakeholders while delivering exceptional service to partners and the public.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate training sessions using varied instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles
• Lead orientation and introductory training for all new staff
• Support the planning, coordination, development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs — including research, design, and execution of strategies aligned to organizational goals
• Develop and maintain engaging, up-to-date training materials (presentations, job aids, hands-on activities)
• Coordinate training schedules, venues, and logistics for smooth event execution
• Test, measure, and evaluate trainee performance; make recommendations on retention/working status
• Maintain training records and prepare reports on activities, attendance, and outcomes
• Help evaluate current and proposed training content/delivery strategies to ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and best practices
• Prepare and distribute surveys/questionnaires to support training needs assessments
• Take on additional assignments as needed

What You'll Bring

• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Working knowledge of adult learning theory, methods, and assessment tools
• Ability to quickly learn subject-matter laws, rules, and regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong research skills and awareness of current trends in training/development
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to assess training needs, gather feedback, and use data to drive continuous improvement
• Ability to abide by organizational Standards of Conduct
