We have four full-time opportunities for Special Education Teachers available for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 24th, 2026 and ending June 10th, 2027. These positions are onsite and cover elementary, middle, and high school settings, allowing you to select the age group and hours that best suit your expertise.
As a Special Education Teacher, your strengths in classroom and behavioral management will be highly valued. You’ll have the chance to develop engaging lesson plans that are aligned with state and district standards, while using differentiated instruction and formative assessments to meet the unique needs of your students.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active certification/licensure to serve the appropriate caseload
- Bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit)
- Prior experience in a school setting, preferably within an urban environment
- Demonstrated mastery of instructional skills and resource materials
- Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Ability to work onsite within specified school hours for assigned level
- Comfortable with the district, location, and urban school settings
- Must be able to obtain and complete all PA clearances
- Reliable transportation required
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in either elementary, middle, or high school
- Implement lesson plans tailored to state/district standards and student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Utilize effective strategies to support both academic and behavioral development
- Collaborate with school staff and families to maximize student success
These contract positions each require 35 hours a week during the assigned hours for your chosen age group. Interviews are conducted via Zoom for your convenience.
