Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting students with unique learning needs across a range of settings for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Based onsite and full-time, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct difference in the lives of students requiring mild/moderate and emotional disturbance support. Multiple positions are available for grades K-12, including resource specialist roles and special day class teaching opportunities.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential for grades K-12 (state-appropriate)
- Background working with students requiring mild to moderate interventions or with emotional and behavioral exceptionalities
- Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and developing tailored instructional plans
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Adaptability to meet students’ diverse academic, social, and behavioral needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for optimal student integration
- Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring, adjusting interventions as needed
- Liaise with families, service providers, and administrators to support holistic student growth
- Document goals, behavior plans, and learning outcomes in compliance with district standards
