We are seeking compassionate, dedicated special education professionals for contract positions serving middle and high school students for the 2024-2025 academic year and beyond. This rewarding opportunity involves working with grades 6–8 or 9–12 in a supportive environment, making a lasting impact on students’ lives.
The school day runs from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with the academic year beginning August 19 and extending through June 7, 2027. Optional orientation and planning days on August 17–18 are highly recommended for a smooth and successful start.
What you’ll bring:
• Valid Special Education License preferred, or actively pursuing licensure
• Experience working with students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, staff, and related service providers
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering individualized education plans
• Passion for fostering inclusion, growth, and self-advocacy among learners in grades 6–8 or 9–12
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment that recognizes every student’s strengths
• Track and assess progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for student success
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and goals
• Participate in professional development and IEP meetings as required
