Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee teaching license with a 459 Endorsement
• CDC certification
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a self-contained or early childhood setting
• Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication skills to liaise with families, staff, and specialists
• Commitment to evidence-based and differentiated instructional strategies
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom culture

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and adapting lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of PreK students in a self-contained classroom
• Completing all required documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and student assessments
• Collaborating with paraeducators, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive support
• Communicating regularly with parents and caregivers to update on student progress
• Maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations for special education
