Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid Physical Therapist license
  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Knowledge of school-based therapy protocols and IDEA/IEP processes
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset, particularly in changing school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs for physical therapy services and contribute to IEP development
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions to support educational access
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy goals with classroom activities
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state policies
  • Attend and participate in meetings related to student progress and IEP planning
  • Provide support, training, and resources for school staff regarding mobility, positioning, and adaptive equipment
