Accountant

Kforce has a client in the Saint Louis, MO area that is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to contribute to day-to-day financial operations, support the month-end and year-end close process, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, and help ensure accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities: Accountant will perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close Maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting Manage cash activity, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounts Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and support forecasting efforts As an Accountant, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate expense reporting and compliance with internal controls Contribute to process improvements and ensure timely completion of accounting activities Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred 2+ years of progressive accounting experience; Public accounting experience is a plus Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
