Position Summary

The Make Ready / Turn Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, painting, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, and helps ensure apartments are move-in ready on schedule.

Key ResponsibilitiesApartment Turns
  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins.
  • Complete painting, touch-ups, and drywall repairs as needed.
  • Replace blinds, light fixtures, locks, and other apartment hardware.
  • Perform general carpentry and minor repairs.
Maintenance
  • Complete basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance tasks.
  • Repair or replace damaged fixtures, appliances, and flooring as needed.
  • Report any major maintenance issues requiring additional repairs.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
Community Support
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vacant units and work areas.
  • Assist the maintenance team with service requests when needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Help maintain curb appeal throughout the property.
QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous maintenance, make ready, construction, or general labor experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Previous apartment maintenance or make ready experience.
  • EPA Certification is a plus but not required.
  • HVAC experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
