Special Education Teacher in Greenfield, IN

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and special education compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working closely with general education staff and families
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in grades 3 and 4 in accordance with their IEP goals
• Assess student progress regularly and modify instructional approaches as needed
• Coordinate with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers to foster student success
• Maintain accurate records of student development, attendance, and IEP documentation
• Foster a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and collaborate on strategies to support learning both at school and home
