Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP implementation and special education compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working closely with general education staff and families
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in grades 3 and 4 in accordance with their IEP goals
- Assess student progress regularly and modify instructional approaches as needed
- Coordinate with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers to foster student success
- Maintain accurate records of student development, attendance, and IEP documentation
- Foster a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and collaborate on strategies to support learning both at school and home
