Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Previous experience in self-contained behavior/autism classrooms and working with students with emotional disabilities or other special eligibility areas
• Strong background in serving at-risk, diverse, and limited-English-proficient student populations
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and district guidelines for special services, including development and implementation of related activities and documentation
• Completion of Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or willingness to participate in staff development
• Onsite presence required; remote or virtual work is not an option

Primary Responsibilities:

• Directly support and instruct students in a highly structured, self-contained classroom environment
• Design and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary staff
• Track and document student progress, maintaining compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
• Foster positive, inclusive interactions that build prosocial behaviors and self-regulation skills for students across a range of exceptionalities
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administrators to ensure holistic student support
