Key Qualifications:

  • California licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in school-based settings is highly desirable
  • Comfort and skill in supporting students from grades 2 through 12+, with needs ranging from mild to moderate/severe
  • Familiarity with IEP planning, documentation, and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate with other OTs, COTAs, and interdisciplinary school teams
  • Commitment to in-person service delivery

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy aligned with individualized educational program (IEP) goals
  • Effectively document services daily, ensuring timely and accurate records
  • Allocate structured time each workday for preparation (8am-9am) and documentation (2pm-3pm)
  • Engage flexibly with a varied caseload of approximately 15 students, adapting interventions to suit a wide spectrum of needs
  • Consult proactively with school staff, including the director, coordinators, and lead teachers, to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Partner closely with another Occupational Therapist and a COTA, creating a collaborative and collegial atmosphere
