Step into a rewarding role delivering essential occupational therapy services to a diverse group of students in a supportive school environment near Long Beach, CA. This contract opportunity offers approximately 18-20 working hours per week, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your preferences—such as working three 6-hour days, or spreading hours across more days as suits your needs.

Your day would typically run from 8am-3pm, including a dedicated hour for lunch, one hour of prep time before sessions (8am-9am), and an hour for documentation at day's end (2pm-3pm).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed and credentialed Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Comfortable working with students in grades 2-12+
  • Skilled in supporting various needs from mild to moderate/severe
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities
  • Strong understanding of IEP-driven service delivery and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized occupational therapy interventions as specified in each student’s IEP
  • Serve up to 15 students with a range of physical, cognitive, and sensory needs
  • Maintain comprehensive records and complete timely documentation of all services provided
  • Collaborate closely with a second OT, a COTA, and supportive campus staff including directors and coordinators
  • Participate in IEP meetings as needed, offering expert input on students’ progress
  • Deliver services exclusively in-person, all at a single site for optimal continuity and connection
