Licensure Requirements
Candidates must hold an active Maine certification in one of the following areas:
Child with Disabilities, Birth–Age 5
K–8 Special Education (282)
7–12 Special Education (282)
Candidate Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of school-based Special Education experience
Active state-issued teaching licensure
Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field
