AR Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AR Specialist in New York, NY. Duties: AR Specialist will manage a portfolio of approximately 900-1,000 invoices per month within an assigned line of business Perform B2B collections on past-due accounts, following up on outstanding balances beginning at 30 days past due Communicate primarily via email, with occasional Microsoft Teams meetings, to resolve outstanding balances Partner with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies Apply incoming cash accurately and timely while ensuring payments are posted correctly Reconcile customer accounts and research unapplied or misapplied cash As an AR Specialist, you will maintain accurate aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables Calculate commissions and perform financial calculations as needed Utilize Excel to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and support reporting Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism throughout the collection process Requirements: Previous accounts receivable experience required Hands-on experience with B2B collections and cash application Strong financial aptitude with the ability to investigate discrepancies and work confidently with numbers Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets and performing financial analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
