As a full-time Education Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting students’ individual needs and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. This contract position is set to begin August 3rd and runs onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, totaling 40 hours each week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility
  • Previous experience working in special education settings, ideally within a K-12 environment
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and individualized instruction
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school teams
  • Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
  • Assess students’ skills and learning requirements, providing engaging lessons tailored to their needs
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles
  • Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student growth
  • Create a supportive, structured, and motivating classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress, maintaining records and documentation in compliance with school policies
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as needed
