Candidates must hold valid Georgia special education teaching certification. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, in either elementary or high school caseloads, ensuring everyone receives the tailored support necessary for their academic and personal growth. The weekly schedule offers 35-37.5 hours across five days, giving you consistent engagement with your students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate student needs
- Collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers for holistic support
- Track student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid GA certification in special education
- Experience working with elementary or high school students preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
