Job Description
Enhance student well-being and support educational success in a vibrant K-12 environment as a dedicated School Psychologist. This full-time, contract position focuses on the upcoming school year and provides the chance to make a meaningful difference working with students, educators, and families near Barrington, IL.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Active state certification/licensure in School Psychology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience or strong interest in working in K-12 educational settings
- Familiarity with current best practices in assessment, special education processes, and behavioral interventions
- Compassionate communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff in the development of positive behavioral interventions and supports
- Advise on accommodations and modifications to help students reach their educational goals
- Serve as an advocate for students and families, ensuring equity and access to resources
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and school-wide initiatives
