Special Education Teacher – Resource Room (LRC) | Full-Time
Location: Waterford, MI
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite Resource Room position at Mason Elementary School in Waterford, Michigan. This role is an excellent opportunity for an educator who enjoys providing targeted academic support while collaborating closely with general education staff.
Position Details:
Full-time, onsite position
Elementary school setting
Resource Room (LRC) classroom
SPED Lab/Literacy Lab environment
Focus on Language Arts and Math instruction
Potential opportunities for co-teaching with general education teachers
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services
Support students in achieving their IEP goals and objectives through individualized instruction
Deliver targeted Language Arts and Math interventions in a Resource Room setting
Collaborate with general education teachers to promote student success and inclusion
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
Requirements:
Active Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification required
Previous elementary school experience preferred
Strong knowledge of literacy and math interventions
Excellent collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills
