School Physical Therapist | Bloomfield, Connecticut

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist for the 2026-27 academic year. This full-time position, running from August 2026 to June 2027, will provide services to a K-12 population within a supportive district environment. Work on-site, collaborating with educators and support staff, to help students achieve their physical goals and make a meaningful impact in their academic journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state
• Previous experience working with school-aged children, K-12, preferred
• Strong understanding of school-based therapy best practices and IEP process
• Ability to work independently and adapt to the diverse needs of students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students across K-12 grades according to IEPs
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other school professionals to support student outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
• Provide training or guidance to staff and families regarding student therapy needs

This is an in-person role, districtwide, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (32-37.5 hours weekly). No remote work arrangements are available at this time.
