Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners as an onsite school psychologist. This role focuses on fostering the growth of Pre-K students by delivering behavioral intervention services and guiding successful transitions into the school environment. As part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you’ll help cultivate school readiness, positive classroom behaviors, and strong family partnerships, all within a supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification and credentials as a School Psychologist for Indiana.
- Experience with early childhood or Pre-K populations preferred.
- Skill in behavioral intervention, progress monitoring, and caregiver collaboration.
- Knowledge of transition programming, especially First Step Transition or similar interventions.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative abilities for working with students, families, and staff.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary evaluations (experience with OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultants, etc., is a plus).
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide First Step Transition behavioral intervention services to Pre-K students, strengthening school readiness and social-emotional skills.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral coaching, teacher and family consultation, and progress monitoring practices.
- Deliver direct support for Preschool Evaluations in a team setting, working closely with families and other specialists.
- Foster effective transitions for students entering the school environment, collaborating with the SNAP program and multidisciplinary team members.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70 Pre-K students and adjust as needed throughout the contract year.
- Occasionally, flexibility beyond the typical 35-hour week may be necessary to meet student and family needs.
