Job Description
Special Education professionals passionate about making a real impact are encouraged to consider a full-time contract opportunity in the Gridley, CA area for the 2026/2027 academic year. Multiple roles are open for certified Special Education Teachers, including positions working with mild to moderate needs across a range of grade levels, an Emotional Disturbance classroom, a Resource Specialist assignment, and a Special Day Class. The work is onsite, with a supportive school culture and diverse student population.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential for California, or eligibility for credentialing
- Experience with mild/moderate disabilities and/or emotional disturbance strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong collaborative approach and effective communication with students, staff, and families
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage classroom behaviors
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging lessons, adapting instruction for group and individualized learning
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support student growth academically, socially, and emotionally
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and fostering partnerships
