Special Education Teacher in Converse, TX
Job Description

In this contract position based near Converse, TX, you'll work 37.5 hours per week, helping students achieve progress both academically and socially in a positive, inclusive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credentials for Special Education (state certification required)
- Experience with ECSE, Elementary, or Middle School populations
- Strong ability to adapt, modify, and implement instructional strategies
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Dedication to fostering collaborative relationships with staff, families, and service providers
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and delivering individualized lesson plans in accordance with each student’s IEP
- Providing direct instruction in resource or inclusion settings
- Assessing student skills, monitoring progress, and documenting outcomes
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting paraeducators
- Participating in IEP meetings and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Advocating for student needs and promoting a positive, supportive learning environment
