Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Mild/Moderate credential required
- Moderate/Severe and Autism credential also accepted
- Experience working with PreK-5th grade students strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and foster positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, modify, and deliver individualized instruction for a diverse student caseload with mild to severe needs
- Write and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and school staff
- Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and assistive technology as appropriate
- Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and administrators to ensure consistent, effective interventions
- Participate in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning
