Position: Assembler (Hand Soldering Technician)
Location: Clearwater, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 3:30 PM-2:00 AM EST
Pay Rate: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

As an Assembler, you'll play a critical role in producing reliable, high-quality electronic and electromechanical assemblies used in demanding aerospace and technology environments. Your expertise in soldering, rework, inspection, and quality assurance will help ensure products meet rigorous industry standards and customer expectations.

What You'll DoPrecision Assembly & Soldering
- Perform hand soldering, de-soldering, and rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs), wire harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Use soldering irons, hot air tools, solder paste dispensers, and precision hand tools to complete detailed assembly work.
- Apply approved solder alloys and fluxes in accordance with IPC, MIL-STD, and quality requirements.
- Repair and rework components while maintaining strict workmanship standards.
- Inspect solder joints using visual inspection techniques and magnification tools.
- Perform functional testing as required to verify product performance.
- Document work accurately to support traceability and quality requirements.
- Identify and report non-conformances and support corrective action efforts.
- Maintain and calibrate soldering equipment, including temperature control systems and workstation tools.
- Participate in preventative maintenance and workstation cleaning activities.
- Follow ESD, safety, cleanroom, and contamination control procedures.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve processes and reduce defects.
- Assist in developing and updating work instructions, repair logs, and process documentation.
- Support training efforts and share best practices with other team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on soldering experience in electronics, aerospace, medical device manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Proficiency using:
- Soldering irons
- Hot air rework stations
- De-soldering equipment
- Precision hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Schematics
- Assembly drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Strong understanding of solder joint reliability and quality workmanship.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001 certification.
- Knowledge of ESD protection and cleanroom practices.
- Experience working within AS9100 or ISO 13485 quality systems.
- Familiarity with IPC-2221 and IPC-2222 design standards.
- Experience participating in audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
- Previous aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing experience.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
