Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification for high school students (or eligibility)
- Experience in resource classroom and co-teaching settings preferred
- Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum as needed
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
Position Overview:
- Support high school students in a resource setting and through co-teaching models
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers to adapt lessons and classroom activities
- Track student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide tailored interventions
- Communicate regularly with families, administrators, and service providers
- Manage required documentation and contribute to annual review meetings
This is a full-time opportunity, working 37.5 hours per week in a welcoming school community during the fall semester.
