Physical Therapist - School Setting in Hialeah, FL
Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students across several vibrant Florida communities as a contract Physical Therapist supporting schools through in-person or virtual (VOCO) services. This opportunity is perfect for a licensed PT seeking a flexible, part-time schedule working with a variety of charter schools. Services span schools in Hialeah, Bonita Springs, St. Augustine, Palm Beach, West Palm, and Port St. Lucie—for a combined caseload of a few dedicated hours each week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students’ needs are met
- Deliver direct therapy (in person or virtual) in accordance with each student’s IEP and service minutes
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and participate in required meetings or consultations
- Utilize creative, engaging activities to promote students’ physical development, mobility, and participation in school routines
- Maintain compliance with all state guidelines and school procedures
- Leverage virtual tools or on-site visits, as appropriate, for effective service delivery
Qualifications:
- Current Florida Physical Therapist license required
- Clinical experience in pediatric or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable serving multiple school sites and managing a diverse caseload
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with teletherapy platforms (for VOCO applicants)
- Ability to start August 10th and commit for the school year
- Must hold all necessary credentials and be authorized to work in Florida
