Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Current and active Illinois School Psychologist certification (Professional Educator License - PEL)
- Experience providing psychological services in school settings preferred
- Strong ability to assess, interpret, and communicate evaluation results
- Well-versed in developing and implementing behavioral and academic interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to supporting a diverse student population
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments and evaluations to support special education eligibility and service planning
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to students, including counseling and consultation
- Implement and support evidence-based interventions for academic and behavioral challenges
- Provide crisis intervention and participate in team meetings as needed
- Maintain clear documentation and help foster a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Stay current with best practices, state guidelines, and continuing education requirements
