Job Description
Embrace the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist supporting students from grades 2 to 12+ in a vibrant educational setting near Glendale, CA. Work closely with a supportive team of professionals, including another OT and a skilled COTA, in providing personalized in-person therapy to a diverse student population whose needs span from mild to moderate/severe.
Enjoy the benefit of a flexible weekly schedule—approximately 18-20 working hours, typically spread over three 6-hour days. Each day runs from 8am to 3pm, with a dedicated hour each for prep (8am–9am), lunch, and documentation (2pm–3pm). The schedule adapts well to your personal needs; consider consolidating hours or distributing your time over more days if that fits better with your work style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services that address each student’s IEP goals
- Provide therapy and document all interventions in a timely, thorough manner
- Collaborate with campus staff, leveraging support from school leadership and colleagues
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, adapting interventions as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
- Engage fully in an environment where teamwork and open communication are valued
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role is highly preferred
- Comfort working with students across a wide range of abilities, including moderate/severe needs
- Effective communicator, team player, and self-directed professional
- Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation practices
