Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification in Kansas or eligibility to obtain
- Experience with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction techniques and classroom management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Previous school-based experience preferred, especially within K–12 populations
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in fast-paced settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with varying learning challenges
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and families
- Monitor student progress, assess needs, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Work onsite during regular school hours, totaling 37.5 hours per week
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure students receive comprehensive support
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold compliance with state and federal regulations
