This contract role begins August 2026, running through the end of May 2027, and welcomes full-time applicants as well as part-time professionals interested in sharing the caseload. With a focus on both direct and indirect student services, you’ll join an engaged interdisciplinary team delivering essential therapies that help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Active Professional Florida Physical Therapist license required
- School-based experience is highly valued, though not mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between assigned schools as an itinerant PT
- Comfortable serving K-12 populations, including some Pre-K students
- Reliable completion of the district’s credentialing and onboarding requirements
- Flexibility to work full days or coordinate with colleagues for part-time coverage
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services (direct and consult) to a diverse caseload of students with varying needs
- Coordinate daily itinerant schedules—serving 2–3 schools per day, typically
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation in line with district and regulatory guidelines
- Contribute to IEP meetings and student progress evaluations
- Participate in professional development and training as required
