Claims Service Representative
Job Description
Our client, a leading organization in healthcare services, is seeking a Claims Service Representative to join their team. As a Claims Service Representative, you will be part of the Operations - Provider Relations department supporting provider relations and claims processing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Claims Service Representative
Location: Marquette, MI
Pay Rate: $18.50
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM with 1 hour lunch
What's the Job?
- Resolve and respond to provider inquiries related to claims and claims payment in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with providers by providing accurate information regarding billing, benefits, eligibility, and authorizations.
- Navigate multiple systems to investigate and resolve claims and payment issues efficiently and accurately.
- Identify trends and systemic issues, collaborating with relevant departments to implement solutions.
- Ensure timely resolution of inquiries received through various channels including phone, email, and portals, maintaining high standards of customer service and confidentiality.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree or coding certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of medical office or claims/billing experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
