Clinical Pharmacist
Job Description
This position operates overnight, with a schedule of one week on and one week off. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The role involves delivering and supporting pharmaceutical care, which includes dispensing medications, identifying, preventing, and resolving drug-related issues, as well as promoting optimal therapeutic outcomes and medication education. Additionally, participation in performance improvement initiatives, academic programs, and clinical research activities within the department is expected. This position also acts as a liaison between the medical and nursing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care.
- Identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems.
- Promote optimal therapeutic practices and medication education.
- Engage in performance improvement and clinical research activities.
- Serve as a communication link between medical and nursing staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy -OR- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.)
- Post-graduate residency training.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to differentiate drug products.
- Fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
- Proficient computer skills and accuracy in calculations.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience supervising technician staff.
- Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida -OR- Eligible for a Pharmacist license in Florida within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Less than one year of experience as a pharmacist or intern is required.
- Preferred experience includes advanced training or experience in a specific practice area.
This position may involve supervising between 3 to 18 employees.
