Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid teaching certification for special education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in grades 1-4
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in grades 1-4 with varying special education needs
- Develop and follow individualized lesson plans, adapting strategies to meet each student's goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and other specialists
- Maintain detailed records and progress reports for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team discussions for student success
- Cultivate a positive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported
