Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Belmont, New Hampshire
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Assignment Dates: August 26, 2026 – June 16, 2027
Work Schedule: 178 student days + 6 additional work days
Hours: 7.5 hours per day

Open Positions

We are currently seeking three Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year across multiple grade levels:

  1. Elementary Special Education Teacher – Belmont Elementary (K–4)
    • Schedule: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  2. Middle School Special Education Teacher – Grades 5–8
    • Schedule: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
  3. High School Special Education Teacher – Life Skills Program (Grades 9–12)
    • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Additional Opportunity:

  • Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher needed from September–November

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students across elementary, middle, and high school settings. The ideal candidates will provide individualized instruction, implement IEP goals, and collaborate with school teams to support students’ academic, functional, and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
  • Provide specialized academic and functional skills instruction based on student needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate special education documentation.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators.
  • Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing independence, self-advocacy, and lifelong skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification required.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities across academic, behavioral, or functional settings preferred.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning needs.
