Job Opportunity: Medical Physicist

Our organization is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Physicist to become part of the vibrant faculty at our main campus within the Department of Radiation Oncology. This is a full-time faculty position, and the academic rank along with compensation will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The selected individual will collaborate with a team of nine medical physicists who manage clinical responsibilities across our network, specializing in areas such as brachytherapy, SRS/SBRT, TBI, and quality assurance. This role presents a remarkable chance to enhance clinical excellence, engage in education, and pursue independent research within a flourishing academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical support in Radiation Oncology Physics.
• Engage in teaching physics to medical residents, medical physics residents, and graduate students (MS level).
• Develop and lead independent research initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Utilize excellent communication skills to address challenges and foster teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Medical Physics or a related discipline.
• PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field.
• Strong clinical experience in Radiation Oncology Physics.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Working Conditions:

The Department of Radiation Oncology is equipped with advanced treatment technologies and a comprehensive array of clinical and academic resources, including:

• 3 Varian TrueBeams, 1 Varian Edge, 1 Varian Ethos, and 3 CT simulators.
• Aria/Eclipse/Ethos systems, Elekta Flexitron, and Zeiss Intrabeam.
• Services such as SRS, SBRT, HDR, TBI, IORT, hyperthermia, and Online Adaptive RT.

Team Environment:

Join a dynamic team consisting of 6 faculty physicists, 3 clinical physicists, 1 physicist-scientist, 6 dosimetrists, and 2 medical physics residents. Our academic environment promotes strong research opportunities, collaboration, mentorship, and innovation.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $159,000 - $985,945, determined by academic rank and experience. Additional benefits include:
