Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Prior experience with K-2 or middle school students preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional techniques for a variety of learning needs
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Genuine passion for helping students achieve their potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse student abilities and challenges
- Create and maintain a structured, nurturing classroom environment for lower and middle school students
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support students’ learning goals
- Implement IEPs, collect data, and participate in meetings as a valued member of the team
- Employ positive behavioral supports and differentiated instruction to encourage engagement and growth
