Special Education Teacher (Elementary Intensive Support Program)

Location: Peck, MI
School Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: Full-Time

Student Population:

• Elementary students (ages 5–10)
• Intensive Support Program

Certification Requirements:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• Endorsement in one of the following:
  • Cognitive Impairment (CI)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Emotional Impairment (EI)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with special education students (birth–26 years)
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong background in supporting students with developmental, academic, and functional skill development

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs.
• Develop and implement IEPs and attend IEP meetings.
• Supervise and support classroom paraprofessionals.
• Maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and community partners.
• Provide in-person and virtual instruction as needed.
