Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience in administering assessments, interpreting results, and developing intervention strategies
- Familiarity with the special education process and IEP meetings
- Strong communication and consultation skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and compassionately
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments to determine student needs
- Collaborate with school teams to develop evidence-based intervention and support plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams for eligibility and placement decisions
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention for students as necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Offer consultative services to teachers and parents, ensuring best practices in instructional and behavioral strategies
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and responsive school climate
