Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid and current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Active respiratory therapy license in accordance with state regulations
  • Proven clinical experience in an acute care or hospital setting
  • Strong understanding of respiratory care techniques, equipment operation, and monitoring procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care for patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions
  • Operate and trouble-shoot ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol therapy equipment, and related apparatus
  • Collect and interpret arterial blood gases and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions
  • Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies and self-care techniques
  • Document all care administered and clinical changes in accordance with facility standards
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and developments in respiratory care
