Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Manager Cost Accounting in Wilmington, MA. Responsibilities: Lead and support cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and financial reporting Analyze inventory, cost structures, and operational performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and account analysis Review and maintain inventory-related accounting records and ensure accuracy of financial data Assist with consolidations, intercompany transactions, and related financial reporting activities Identify and resolve accounting, system, and process issues impacting financial operations Provide guidance and support to accounting team members and business partners Drive process improvements and help strengthen financial controls and reporting efficiency Support business initiatives, system changes, and process transformation projects Prepare ad hoc analyses and provide management with actionable financial insights Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Significant experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing/distribution accounting environments Experience analyzing inventory, cost variances, and operational performance metrics Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost accounting practices Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments Ability to think strategically and evaluate issues from a broad business perspective Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs Proven ability to work independently while contributing to team success The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
