Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year as a contract Physical Therapist serving a diverse K-12 student caseload. This engaging part-time position (3 days a week, 20-25 hours weekly) spans from August 2026 through June 2027, offering the chance to make meaningful contributions across multiple school sites.
As a Physical Therapist in the educational setting, you’ll play a key role in supporting students’ physical development and helping them access their academic programs through effective therapy interventions.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapist
- Prior experience working with K-12 students in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and pediatric therapy techniques
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Adaptable and organized; comfortable traveling between sites as needed throughout the district
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services based on students’ IEP goals and consultation with educational teams
- Perform evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress and participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for individual students
- Adjust schedules and routines as necessary based on district and student needs
